I got home from the washateria and was hunger! My plain cheese sandwich (the new package of ham from Wally World was ruined.) and potatoe chips for lunch were long gone.

Anyhow.............. I steamed some broccoli, carrots and cauliflower and George Foreman'ed a half of a boneless chicken breast. Talk about Good!

Prolly french toast for the a.m. meal and wild rice/turkey soup for the noon meal. This will be tomorrie's lunch too, with sugar cookies. Was gonna do snickerdoodles, but have the sugars in the freezer already. Wink

WAKE-UP, sparkle... get yo' head outta bed, fred. Laughing

Supper last night ended up being boiled shrimp, fried oysters, and frog legs. It was all I could eat too.

We ate at the Hamburger Store in Jefferson Tx last night but neither of us got hamburgers. Hubby had catfish, shrimp, frog legs combo and it came with turnip green, pinto beans, salad and cornbread. I had the catfish.

Today for lunch on the way home we stopped at CJ's Diner I believe it is in Dubberly and boy oh boy was it good. We had breakfast and we couldn't finish it all.

Home fries yesterday and so far today, toast. Maybe I'll get an invite to lunch from the wayward bunch. doubt it.

I'm trying to decide between tacos or gumbo for Sunday. What's on your menus?

Btw, the top 10 munchies are:

1) Lay's tater chips
2) Doritos tortilla chips
3) Cheetos cheese snax
4) Tostitos tortilla chips
5) Planters nuts/seeds
6) Ruffles tater chips
7) Wavy Lay's tater chips
8 Snyder's Hanover pretzels
9) Tostitos Scoops
10) Fritos corn snacks

Did your fave make it? Info taken from ShopSmartMag

I'll take mine medium rare, mr mud, lol. Grandson can sure grill a fine steak too.

Yesterday's meal was a flop, imo. I hate to cook when my heart's not in it, other than knowing they'll think it's great. I fixed some kind of concoction with noodles, chicken, broccoli, and cheese. Smothered down some green beans with new taters and field peas. Made some skillet corn and added garlic bread. Sweet tea of course and I worked hard on the dessert - orange cupcakes by Hostess, lol.

Now those tacos are still whizzing in my head - if I had to pick a "happy meal", it'd be tacos! They make my mouth sing. I've read that life without mexican food is no life at all, and I believe it. One day I'm going to a real mexican cafe and help myself. yeah, right!

So if'n I can get to a store and make a few groceries, I'll have tacos next Sunday.
