All current rules have been added to the league web site now and can be accessed through the rules tab.

Rules for the PFL 2016

This is a PPR, 8 player keeper $$ league played on nfl.com/cbs.com. The draft is 17 rounds. We start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def/ST, and 1 flex player which can be a 3rd RB, a 3rd WR, or a 2nd TE. Entry fee is $75 with 100% payout to the top 4 finishers. Payout is 1st-$400, 2nd-$240 ,3rd-$110 ,4th-$75, & Regular season Champ-$75. It is a commissioner league and I pay all league cost out of my pocket. There are 12 teams in the league with 3 divisions. The 3 division winners make the playoffs plus the non-divisional winner with the best overall record.

1- We will now keep 8 players from our prior team and you must keep 8.

2- Keeper player values or the round you'll lose for keeping a player:

A player kept by an owner will cost that owner the round the player was drafted in, whether he was drafted by the current owner or came to the team via a trade, for the first year that he is named a keeper. Each year that a keeper player is retained by a team after the first year he costs the owner one round earlier then he did the year before. Players that are on a roster by being picked up off of the waiver wire costs the owner a last round draft choice which would now be a 17th round pick. When multiple players are kept with an assigned keeper value of the same round each additional keeper for that round will cost the owner one round earlier in that draft. Example if a team keeps 3 players that cost them a 17th round pick they will lose the 17th, 16th 1nd 15th round draft choices. All three of those players however keep their original keeper value cost for the next season. In other words if the same three players are keepers the next year the team has three 16th round keepers but would lose a 16, 15 and 14th round draft choice. In the event an owner doesn't have a higher round in the draft to give up for keeping multiple players with the same keeper values then they will lose the next lower round in the draft. Example- keeping two players that cost you a 1st round draft choice means you'd lose a 1 and a 2nd round pick. Those two keeper players retain their 1st round keeper values in the next years draft.

Keeper player announcements will be due starting the moment the Hall of Fame game concludes each year. The order of announcements will be listed each season on the league home page under commissioners notes.

2B Keepers are due to start being announced as soon as the HOF game has concluded. You may choose to follow the order as listed on the league page OR Not. You do not have to wait until HOF Sunday to announce your keepers. Once you announce your keeper players they are set in stone and can not be changed. Keepers must be announced in a timely manner IE before any team plays their first real preseason game. I will do whatever is necessary to make sure this happens. This includes bugging you if you are tardy. In an extreme situation I will name your keepers for you to make sure all keepers are in on time.

Starting in 2015 we will be trimming our team rosters before keeper declaration day which will remain the night of the Hall of Fame Game.

1st cut is to 14 team players and is due by the first day of the NFL draft.

2nd cut is to 11 players and is due by the day that the first NFL club opens their Training camp.

You are allowed to cut any number of players you wish (you must keep 8 players on your active roster) at any time before the due date(s) to trim your rosters. If you have a problem cutting players contact Kent or myself and we can handle it for you. Amended on 7/14/2015 to add "Any player that you cut from your team is cut for good. There will be no adding back to your roster a player that you cut."

2-B- FT Players: If you choose to have a Franchise Tagged player he will be one of the EIGHT keepers on your team. You do not have to have a Franchise Tagged player.

A Tagged player will cost you a 17th round draft pick. Rules already in place will govern the cost of your other keeper players.

If you choose to tag a player he will be on your team for that season. You can not drop, cut, trade or in any other way disassociate yourself from your tagged player for the length of the season but he must be let go after the season that he was tagged for ends.

You may re-draft your former FT player in the following year's draft if he is available.

This rule change will take effect next season which is 2015.

You may not tag a Defense or Kicker.

Keeper players are announced as soon as the Hall of Fame Game concludes and are expected to be turned in promptly.

3- Our rosters are 17 players.

4- "Any player dropped by an owner can not be picked back up by that owner off of waivers until that player has been on the waiver wire and available to every owner for a period of 2 waiver cycles or a minimum of 72 hours." Penalty is waiver is reversed and waiver position lost for that cycle."

4B- Any WW player picked up on the first day of the cycle can not be traded until the next week. WW pickups on the other 4 days of the cycle may still be traded as the owner sees fit.

5- Ties are ties in the regular season. Once the playoffs get under way each owner must name a bench player to be his "tie breaker" based on the points those bench players scored. If an owner fails to designate a tie breaker player and the playoff game ends in a tie he will lose.

5-(B) It is up to the team owners to post here who their tie breaker player is before that players game kicks off. Failure to do so will result in a loss in case of a tie. If neither team owner designates a tiebreaker player and the game ends in a tie the winner will be determined by the most bench points. If that happens to be a tie the winner will be the highest seed. estb. 12/10/2010

5-(C) If the championship game ends in a tie it remains a tie. Co-Champions will exists for the year and the winnings will be distributed evenly between the two owners.

6-Playoff and final standing tiebreakers: First tie breaker is total points scored during the season, second tie breaker is divisional record, third tie breaker is head to head.

7- All trades will now be reviewed by both commissioners before being passed through. If one of us are involved in that trade a member of the Outlaw forum and team owner here will be drafted to help review the trade. A totally one sided trade can and should be rejected. If either of the reviewing parties says that the trade is fair then the trade will go through. I don't expect there to be many trades rejected. Before the review takes place both parties involved in the trade must let one of us know that they agree to the trade either on this message board or the Outlaw forum. So trades won't happen in a blink of an eye anymore.

7B- 11/24/2012 Amended on 10/11/2014: "We will not approve trades unless the Co-Commissioner or myself hear from both trading parties that they do desire to make the trade. You can post about and confirm your trade desire here on the forum, on the league page or phone me at the number listed on the league page."

Owners may make trades during the off season.

8- The waiver wire closes for the eight teams not making the playoffs when the fantasy regular season ends. It closes for the four playoff teams as soon as the championship game is played.

9- The draft date will, as always be set for the week between the 3rd and the last preseason game. The potential dates will be listed a few weeks before to give owners a few days to let me know if the proposed day is a bad one for them. Since we have several owners on the west coast the start time will likely be 7 or 8 pm central. All of this will be ironed out after preseason gets under way.

10- The waiver wire will, as always, remain closed until the last draft choice is made and then open at that moment. The WW will remain as it was last season.

11-Under no circumstances will player dumping or collusion be allowed. Any trades that clearly benefit only one team or the intentional submission of a non-competitive** lineup both qualify as collusion. Any such actions will be grounds for immediate removal from the league. If any owner suspects such actions they may request the commissioner and assistant commissioner investigate. If the commissioner and assistant commissioner both find the actions of any owner against the best interests of their team then the offending owner may be removed or subject to disciplinary action. Any disciplinary action short of removal from the league will be left up to the discretion of the commissioner and assistant commissioner. Removal from the league will require a majority vote from the rest of the owners. If the commissioner or the assistant commissioner is the player suspected of collusion then the action shall be put up for a league vote.
**While it may be tempting to submit non-competitive lineups once your team is eliminated from the playoff hunt, this is not fair to the rest of the league. A team intentionally throwing games throws off the competitive balance of the league, and can severely alter the chances of teams in the playoff hunt. This is a friendly league, so please be fair to the rest of the league and give it your best even if you’re not playing for anything.
The normal penalty for a team involved in illegal activity that does not lead to removal from the league will be a forfeiture of draft picks and/or banning from trading for one year.

12- A kicker that breaks what is at that time the NFL Record for a successful longest FG will receive an additional 3 points in the fantasy scoring.
