We live a dozen miles south of Lori and dodged all of the bad weather only getting rain here. Lots of wind in Winnsboro from several of the cells. _________________ I'm a happy Deplorable that likes my Crumbs!

~ Two tropical cyclones will be in the Gulf of Mexico by early next week. That brings us to the Fujiwhara effect, where two nearby cyclonic vortices orbit each other and close the distance. This is 2020 so by the end of the season we fully expect multiple hurricanes to merge into one and head north over NYC. Might be a good time to rewatch "The Day after Tomorrow" _________________ We don't have much, what we have, we share. |

~ Here is the latest on Laura. Those on Texas coast and Louisiana need to prepare now. Don't wait to see if it is definitely heading to your area...by then it will be too late. It has high potential to produce catastrophic flooding and damage. -copied. _________________ We don't have much, what we have, we share. |

~ Major hurricane Laura is now one of the fastest-intensifying storms in recorded history in the Gulf of Mexico.
Just 24 hours ago, Laura was a tropical storm. A hurricane hunter plane just passed through the center and found it's now a strong Category 3. The storm surge coming tonight and wind damage to the Louisiana/Texas border is going to be beyond what anyone could imagine. Storm surge is expected to reach a whopping 30 miles inland from the gulf. We urge people in the heavily populated area to leave now. Save your life. There is nothing worse than a cat 4 hurricane intensifying as it makes landfall. - copied. _________________ We don't have much, what we have, we share. |

~ Welcome to 2020. In the last 24 hours #Teddy formed and now #Vicky just became a tropical storm in the Atlantic. The earliest ever "V" name. The previous record was a "T" name in October 2005. There are currently 5 named storms in the Atlantic with slow moving #Sally expected to make landfall by Tuesday morning as a hurricane around the Mississippi gulf coast. _________________ We don't have much, what we have, we share. |
